moondaddy 'Poet Lies'

In just a few years, singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Cara Potiker has gone from hazily sketching out tunes in her bedroom to tripping out audiences and turning heads with her San Diego, California-based dream pop band moondaddy

moondaddy is both emotionally evocative and lyrically abstract. Cara curates sparkling and dusky soundscapes replete with meticulously crafted instrumental tones. Her Lyrics are enigmatic, viscerally emotional, and poetic.

Wax Mage Records is honored to rerelease a very limited run of  Poet Lies with two never before released tracks. We Are going to release one variant a day for the next five days beginning October 19th with the Supernova and ending with 'Lovers Eye' the Wax Mage exclusive variant that's debuting our new center labels. 

Supernova has an iridescence that can't be captured on camera. Truly a have to see it to believe it variant.

Helicopter is an elevated Geoburst, the complexity in creating this design is top tier, they are also all random color builds made just for you for your interpretation. We are still exploring the subtle nuances of pressing this very unique and complex design.

Silver Dust is a delicate approach to the space that is available in the artwork. Not only our attempt at complimenting the jacket art but interpreting the ethereal feelings felt by listening to the album. We feel this variant is appropriately named for the Silver Dust track.

Fortune Teller. A variant with unmeasured duality. A random colored extreme label blowout variant that is not only vibrant in the daylight but when charged is it's own captivating spinning universe glowing in the dark, a glimpse inside the end.

Lovers Eye. Outlines of our mothers. This variant is a kaleidoscope of texture and color, displaying Wax Mage custom labels and a new Wax Mage B label. This may be one of our most complex and coveted designs yet.
